Old School Gaming "Intellivision" style!!

So I was browsing the app store for some old school type games, when I came across this gem of an old school app called "Adventure".(Screenshots from app store below)

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that someone had not only remembered this game, but actually brought it to the app store!! This was one of my favorite games to play back in the day. Actually, it was one of the few games I owned back in the day, to be quite honest. Intellivision wasn't really my choice of gaming systems, what with the Atari 5200 hitting stores all over(back in 1982). Needless to say, the Intellivision system was bought for me by my parents, and it was a thoughtful gift, but not what I actually wanted. Can you feel my disappointment? Well, anyway, the point of this is to let you all know that this simplistic, one level, old school, 8 bit graphics favorite is in the app store and it is FREE!! Follow this link and it will take you right to it(via iTunes) http://is.gd/2K8Uk Download it now and get your old school game on.

An Open Thank You Note To @GluMobile

Wow, what a great way to start the day:

I'm in my kitchen this morning, preparing a "Meat Lover's Salad"** when I hear a LOUD pounding on my front door. I'm still in my night clothes, so I ask my brother to answer the door for me. He comes back and has a package in his hand addressed to me. My first thought is "GLU MOBILE!!!" I stop in the middle of prepping my salad, and set off opening the much anticipated package.

"YAHTZEE!!!" It's a 4GB iPod Shuffle that iWon as a runner-up prize in Glu Mobile's "Name A Tough Guy" contest. So I wanted to take the time and say thank you very much to Glu Mobile for a fun contest, and for such a wonderful runner-up prize.

For anyone who doesn't know who Glu Mobile is, they are the developers of the HOTTEST games in the App store. These games include "Glyder", "Cops and Robbers", "Build-A-Lot", and "Deer Hunter 3D" to name a few. To find these great titles, go to the app store and search "Glu". Also, watch for "Glyder 2" which is in development now.

Remember, If you ain't got Glu, you ain't got game!!

An Open Thank You Note To @Aweekes(On Twitter)

For this blog entry, I would like to acknowledge Andrew Weekes(@Aweekes). Besides being an all around nice guy, Andrew is the developer of 2 really great Twitter Apps: Twitterena, and Twitterena+ Professional for iPod Touch, and iPhone. Not only has Andrew developed these 2 great Twitter apps, but he stands behind his creations in the form of personal tech support. Andrew is always willing to talk with Twitterena users about how to use new features, and how to set up different options within the apps. He is also willing to listen to input and feedback from his app's users on what features they would like to see in future updates. Andrew is always willing to listen to Twitterena users no matter what the situation is. I know these things because I have had many chats with Andrew during the development of Twitterena's updates, and also during the subsequent release of Twitterena+ Professional. Andrew has always answered any questions I've had about these apps.

Thank You Andrew for your hard work and dedication to your apps, and also for your dedication to the users of your apps. For these things, I commend you.
